Mad Movie Review: Sitara Entertainments is a banner like C/O for successful movies in Tollywood. Apart from big hero movies, this banner also produces small movies with good content. The latest movie 'Mad' was released as a youth full and crazy entertainer movie under this banner. Let's find out through this review how this movie starring Junior NTR's brother-in-law Narne Nithin, Sangeet Shobhan, and Ram Nithin is the main cast.
Mad Movie Story:
Three students named Manoj, Ashok, and Damodar joined an engineering college. How did these three become friends? How their life went. What are the conditions faced by them in this journey? How did this batch beat them? The story of this film is about how they all led the engineering life together.
Analysis:
The "Jathiratnalu" movie is a benchmark in Tollywood. It is a film without a story.. only the behavior of the characters is the story. Even though some films came out in that movie format in the later period, they could not repeat the magic of Jati Ratna. Only one “DJ.Tillu” had good success in this category. Now this mad movie also comes in that successful list. Many films give a cinematic touch to BTech life and put a beautiful world in front of the eyes. If "Happy Days" is a masterpiece, "Mad" is a super mass and laugh masterpiece. The way director Kalyan Shankar opened this movie is amazing. The way Kalyan Shankar went into the story in narration mode is very good, taking the fear of a boy who joined first year, first day BTech as the lead.
The director has not put any book templates like story, conflicts, sequence, or layers as a party color for this film. The story of the film is only the moments in the lives of Manoj and Ashok Damodar. It is really a big risk for a new director to come in front of an audience with such a concept. But..., director Kalyan Shankar set his success in that. For this, he focused more on dialogues. This is where Kalyan Shankar also became super successful as a writer. He not only the punches and satires between friends, but he set dialogues to generate fun in normal conversations too.
The entire first half was full of fun with introductions, seniors ragging, gang wars, and love tracks in BTech. What is there to laugh about in the second half? Even when we thought that the director did magic. He filled the second off with full comedy instead of a serious and sentimental track. For this, he gave a lighter vein touch to the heroes' difficulties in the second half and created fun out of it. From that fun, he brought three love stories into a successful track and gave a good positive touch. The director and his team who made the audience laugh throughout the movie by adding a college background drop to a typical comedy in buddy movies, cannot be praised enough. If not, For those who only like regular template movies, "Mad" really seems like a crazy movie. The same is the case with “Jathi Ratnalu”. No matter how youthful the entertainer is, the family audience may find it somewhat difficult.
Acting Performance:
After watching the movie Mad.. we love the actor Sangeet Shobhan. What an energy, what an acting, what a timing. It is no exaggeration to say that Sangeet Shobhan's performance in the character of DD raised the level of this film to half the height. And Ram Nithin suited the role of Manoj perfectly. Ram Nithin gave his 100 percent in acting as well. Last but not least Jr. NTR's brother-in-law is Narne Nithin, Compared to the other two roles, Narne Nitin's Ashok character has more dimensions. So.. Narne Nithin scored good marks in his first film. He was completely impressed with the dances and fights. But this is a good thing for a debut film. After this, the boy who played the role of Laddu has a bright future. Sri Gauri, Priya Reddy, and Anantika, who acted as heroines in this, did not have a big scope.
Technical Department:
The cinematography by Shamdut Sainuddin and Dinesh Krishnan is the biggest asset of Mad Movie. Especially the lighting in the movie is amazing. The way this team used natural lighting in many shots is amazing. Editor Naveen Nooli must be praised. In particular, it is easy to guess where there is a lag and where the scenes fall in a film with a story. But.., in the case of such films, the editor should believe in the vision of the director. It should be understood. Finally, that output should be provided. Naveen Nooli has been super successful in this regard. Even though Bheem's Cicerolio BGM is amazing, the songs are not at that level. Finally, the production values have gone up.
