Bagheera Movie Review: Movies with a superhero concept come to the screen only occasionally. 'Bagheera' is a film made in Kannada in such a genre. Sree Murali played the lead role in this film which was directed by Suri. The film, which hit theaters on October 31 in various languages, is streaming on 'Netflix' from the 21st of this month. Let's see what the story of this film is now.
Story:
Vedant (Sree Murali) has been very fond of superheroes with amazing powers since childhood. He imagines himself as a superhero and even gets injured. His mother says that not only those who do extraordinary things, but everyone who saves others is a superhero. He becomes a police officer to help others. A doctor named Sneha (Rukmini Vasanth) loves him. But his focus is on his duty. Vedant decides to work sincerely as per his mother's wish.
His first posting is in Mangalore. Everyone in the police station there, including Narayan (Rangayana Raghu), is corrupt. All the work in the surrounding areas is done with the priest's help. From illegal weapons to the transportation of girls and boys, everything is done silently. As soon as he enters the village, Vedant focuses on the activities there. In a situation where the priest's name is scary, Vedant goes straight to arrest him and brings him to the cell. The priest gives a warning to his followers.
This causes a commotion among the higher authorities. Vedant is immediately reprimanded to release the priest. So, under the necessary circumstances, he does so. The priest is a very cruel person. Yogi is above him. Rana is above them. No one knows what Rana is like. Vedant learns that many girls' lives are being ruined because of him. He feels that he cannot fix this situation as a police officer. For this, he becomes 'Bagheera'. What will he do as 'Bagheera'? How will he do it? How successful will he be in achieving what he wants? The rest of the story is.
Analysis:
There are many helpless people in the society. The hero feels that he should become a police officer to help them, as his mother told him. However, after joining duty, he understands many things. The hero understands who can pose a threat to this society. But the first thing that comes to mind is that he cannot digest the fact that the authorities are protecting such people. The hero, who feels that he cannot achieve what he wants in a police uniform, wants to become the superhero he has seen since childhood.
What will he do for this? What kind of situations will he face? The second half greets him. In this story, the hero appears in two perspectives, both as a police officer and as Bagheera. The way the director has designed this character is good. The way the villains are introduced is also impressive. In this story, as if there is a problem and a solution, Bagheera goes about fixing his tasks one after another. The action scenes that come in the background impress the audience.
However, the emotions required for these action scenes seem a bit weak. At the same time, it seems that the director has not paid much attention to the love .. romance from the heroine's side. We think that the hero will get bored with the routine scenes like Bagheera entering the field .. Garuda Ram bringing his followers into the ring to confront him. At this time, Prakash Raj makes an entry as a CBI officer to catch Bagheera, and the story picks up a bit. However, the minus here is that the scenes that come after that are also the same as those we have seen in previous films.
Actors Performance:
Srimurali did justice to the two roles he played. The attention he took to the fitness appropriate for the role is visible. Rukmini Vasanth's role does not have much importance. Even when she is there, it feels routine. Garuda Ram did a good job as the villain. The way he designed his character is also pleasing. There is nothing special to say about Prakash Raj's acting in the role of a CBI officer. We remember the role of a CBI officer he played in the past in 'Athadu'. Hero - Villain - CBI Officer.. The way the director designed these three main roles scored good marks.
However, he could not prevent the content from appearing routine. The production values are good. Since this is a completely action-oriented film, the action choreography is impressive. The action episodes seem perfect. Arjun Shetty's photography is good. Also, Ajaneesh Loknath has succeeded in providing a suitable background score for the story. Pranav Sri Prasad's editing seems neat. It is noteworthy that Prashanth Neel, the director of KGF - -Salaar Films, has provided the story for this film. The seriousness of the story is visible. However, it could not escape the influence of previous films.
