Citadel Honey Bunny Review: Raj-DK, who has given huge web series like The Family Man' ... And 'Farzi', produced the web series 'Citadel: Honey Bunny'. The series starring Samantha - Varun Dhawan in lead roles is streaming today on the Amazon platform. This series was presented as 6 episodes. Now let's see how this series is made in the spy action genre.

Story

The story takes place between 1992-2000. Most of the story takes place in the Mumbai-Nainital setting. Honey (Samantha) runs away from home and reaches Mumbai hoping to act in films. But she can't fit in the atmosphere there. She gets acquainted with Bunny who works as a stunt master in movies. It turns into a bit of love. On one hand, he works as a stunt master, and on the other hand, he works as an agent 'Rahi' in a secret agency run by Baba (KK Menon).

'Rahi' is an orphan. From childhood, he grows up as an orphan. Baba comes to see him well. So he considers Baba as a father. He develops feelings of love to the extent that he is ready to give his life to him. Born in a Zamindari family, Honey, who ran away with a love for movies, now gets closer to 'Rahi'.

Honey asks Bunny to join her as an agent as she has been brave since childhood. Bunny, who has fully trained her, tells her mind to Baba. Honey tells Baba that he believes in intelligence and bravery. Baba reluctantly agrees to enlist her as an agent. Since then Honey has started participating in operations with that team.

It is in such situations that 'Citadel' brings up the mission of 'Operation Talwar'. Baba considers that organization as an enemy. He wants to stop that mission from being completed and he wants to get the 'weapons program' related to that mission. For that, he brings in Rahi - Honey. Honey gets in touch with Dr. Raghu (Thalaivasal Vijay) to get the 'weapons program' from him.

Realizing Raghu's goodness.. his responsibility towards society, Honey asks Rahi that she is ready to take the 'weapons program' from him, but not risk his life. Rahi promises her that she is pregnant. But he kills Dr. Raghu on Baba's order. With that, Honey runs away with the 'weapons program'. Rahi thinks that she must have died in the accident at that time.

Baba appoints two followers, Nakul-Kedi, to search for Honey. They start blowing honey. It is learned that she has given birth to a daughter. Without Rahi's knowledge, they plan to wake them both up. What situations does Honey have to face as a result? How will the accident haunt Honey and her daughter? That is the rest of the story.

Analysis

The director has presented this series as 6 episodes. All these episodes are action-emotion-based. Due to the strong screenplay, the series is interesting from the beginning to the end. Enormity adds strength to the story. The way the action episodes are designed is impressive. Honey's longing to save her daughter.. the fight for that is pleasing. Chasings .. firings increase the suspense.

The directors are going to show a parallel story between 1992 and 2000. This screenplay seems new. The story is all good.. otherwise, it would be better to give more clarity about 'Operation Talwar'. Also, it would have been better if Simran's character was made more powerful.

Actors Performance

Despite Varun Dhawan .. it can be said that this is a Samantha series. Her acting is the highlight of this series. Varun also did well in the action scenes. And Kashvi Maj Mundar, who played the role of Samantha's daughter, gets good marks. This baby impresses with its natural acting. There is nothing special to say about KK Menon's performance.

John's camera work is good. The way the action scenes are shot is pleasing. Sachin-Jigar background music takes this series to the next level. Sumit's editing is impressive. The length of each episode ranges from 42 minutes to 55 minutes. So even though it seems a bit slow here and there, it can be said that it is a connected series in terms of content.
