The actress Rosa Salazar is among the protagonists of the cast of Captain America: Brave New World, and from today it is also known what her role will be. Announced in the summer of 2023, the casting for Rosa Salazar has obtained not only confirmation but also interesting details regarding the role. Well, as per past rumors, in the Marvel film, she will give a face to Diamante (originally Diamondback), a member of the group of supervillains known as the Serpent Society. The official confirmation arrived in recent days thanks to a social update from Captain America News.
The Serpent Society has been part of the script of Captain America: Brave New World since the first draft, however during the subsequent rewrites the only members confirmed for the film are – at the moment – Sidewinder (with the face of Giancarlo Esposito) and Diamante. In the comics, Diamondback has no superpowers, but she has the physical abilities of an Olympic athlete. She is also an expert in various martial arts, and has a formidable aim: her signature weapons are diamond-shaped darts.
