Hanuman Movie Analysis:
Superhero movies.. a genre that is not very familiar to Indian moviegoers. But.., there is only one real superhero that we all know. He is our Hanuman. We are the ones who grew up hearing about Anjani Suthu's strength, power, courage and achievements. Prashant Varma became half successful by weaving the story of a superhero concept around such a great aura.
While the director did not choose a huge cast for the movie Hanuman, he also kept it simple in the background of the story. As the soul point of the movie is told in the form of a song at the time of the title card... the time taken to establish the hero's character and the conditions of Anjanadri village does not feel like a lag. From there, showing the superpowers of the hero without delay, building up shots to make the audience agree, and ending the interval with a bang at the right conflict point, along with all this, the first half was impressive with an interesting love track.
There is a basic rule in superhero movies. Audien travels with the story patiently until the hero gets his powers.. Once he crosses that phase, he definitely wants extreme elements. This is called Mood of the Auditorium in cinema language. Rajamouli is the only one in Telugu who is following this formula and directing the screenplay. But.., this is exactly where the director Prashanth Varma also got a bit sloppy. Even after Hanuman gets powers and Michael understands where that power comes from, the story does not pick up pace.
Moreover.. At that time, the love scenes that came and went here and there became even more heavy. With this, there is a doubt that Hanuman has missed the track in those 20 minutes. But.., when Samudrakhani's character is revealed from there Hanuman's expectations go beyond expectations. As the pre-climax that gave so much hype.. the climax mind, Hanuman is in the exciting range.. the success track is on.
Actors Performance:
When it comes to acting in the movie Hanuman.. Teja Sajja gave life. Teja is surprised that we have seen him as a child actor and a small hero all these years. And Varalakshmi Sarath Kumar shines in the role of Anjamma. Although Amrita Iyer's character is not involved in the story, the screen space she gets is used well. People like Getup Srinu, Satya, and Vennela Kishore are a plus for the Hanuman movie. Last but not least Samudrakhani. He gave his career-best in the role of Swamiji.
Technical Section:
Hanuman movie is as solid in terms of story as it is in terms of technical teamwork. In this regard, the first thing to be said is about CG work. Wherever there is a Hanuman reference in the movie, the best CG work was seen in all those shots. This has become a big asset for Hanuman's success. And Dasharathi Shivendra's camera work is unmatched. Earlier he was the cinematographer of Kalki movie directed by Prashant Varma. With this.. Dasharathi Shivendra became super successful in achieving Prashanth Varma's vision. Anudeep Dev, Gaurahari, and Krishna Saurabh have given music for this film. While the songs are okay, the BGM gives life to the movie. There is no need to hesitate to say that Prashant Varma's level as a director has skyrocketed with Hanuman. Last but not least producer Niranjan Reddy. Hats off to your guts. Standing so strong for a good idea and leading so many people forward is beyond words. Hats off to you once again.
