The Lord of The Rings: The Rings of Power: The Resurrection of the Dark Lord Sauron is imminent, and new creatures are appearing one after another
The long-awaited official Telugu trailer for Season 2 of The Lord of the Rings: The Ring of Power, which will be exclusively distributed on Prime Video on Thursday, August 29, 2024, was released at San Diego Comic-Con 2024.
The action-packed trailer focuses on the resurrection of the long-feared legendary villain Sauron, the Dark Lord. It heralds the return of darkness and evil after years of peace at the end of battles across Middle-earth, and shows how Sauron manipulates the will of the people to create more "rings of power." The trailer thrilled the 6,500 fans who packed into the huge convention center.
The video also showed some fantastical and sometimes terrifying creatures that will appear in this season, such as the giant spider-like Sealob, the army of Mound People, the mountain troll Damrod, the sea dragon, and even the tree-herder-like Ents who protect the trees. Fans were also captivated by the power of the large-scale battle scene that will likely play an important role in the story of Season 2.
In addition to the two showrunners, the panel also featured 16 actors who play important characters who hold the key to the story development of Season 2. Cynthia Addai-Robinson as Miriel, Robert Aramayo as Elrond, Maxim Baldry as Isildur, Morfydd Clarke as Galadriel, Ismael Cruz Cordova as Arondil, and Charles Edwards as Celebrimbor, who reunited with fans.
In Season 2, Sauron (Charlie Vickers), exiled by Galadriel (Morfydd Clarke) and without an army or followers, uses his cunning to regain his power and forge the Ring of Power, which will bind all the people of Middle-earth to his evil will. Meanwhile, characters including elves, dwarves, orcs, humans, wizards and Har-foots struggle to find their place in a world consumed by the approaching darkness and on the brink of catastrophe.
The Lord of the Rings: The Ring of Power Season 2 will be available exclusively on Amazon Prime Video from Thursday, August 29th.
