DJ Tillu 2 Movie Review: Siddu Jonnalagadda got a blockbuster hit with the movie DJ Tillu. It has been almost a year since the release of this movie. Immediately after the movie became a hit, it was announced that there would be a sequel. But it took so long to make the sequel and bring it to the audience. Finally made a movie titled Tillu Square. While the first part was directed by Vimal, the second part was directed by Mallik Ram. The film, which is narrated by Siddu Jonnalagadda, has finally hit the screens today. Ever since the release of the teaser of the movie, there have been expectations about the movie. Apart from that, the trailer as well as the songs have doubled the expectations of the movie. Now let's see how this movie is in the review.
DJ Tillu 2 Movie Story:
The story of the film starts with the completion of DJ Tillu. Cheated by Radhika, Tillu (Siddu Jonnalagadda) runs an event management company called Tillu Events and organizes weddings and functions. One day, while going to a pub, he meets Lily (Anupama Parameswaran). Like love at first sight, both of them develop a crush on each other and become physically united. But when he wakes up in the morning, Lily shakes Siddu's hand and leaves. While Sidhu is looking for her, she shocks him when she shows up after a month and tells him that she is pregnant.
Siddu Jonnalagadda prepares to marry her even though he doesn't trust her before. In the process of getting ready to get married, one day Lilly gives another shock that no one expected. What is the actual shock given by Lilly to Tillu? Did Tillu Lilly get married? In the end, how did Tillu recover from the shock given by Lilly? Who is Sheikh Mehboob Bhai (Murali Sharma)? What is the relationship between Tillu, Lilly, and Mehboob Bhai? To know, you have to watch the movie in theaters.
Tillu Square Movie Analysis:
Since the release of the movie DJ Tillu, Siddu Jonnalagadda has had a massive craze. Speaking in the Hyderabadi language, he has connected well. In a way, Tillu's characterization is the main reason why the first part was such a super hit. Now everyone has huge expectations for the sequel of that movie. However, this film has been set up in such a way that it does not fall short of those expectations. An attempt was made to deliver what the audience expected. In the first part, if the girl falls in love and cheats on him, then it will be a little different if it goes on from the point of view of how he survives the deception. The Tillu events business set up by Siddu Jonnalagadda and the way he manages it with his parents is impressive.
This second part is about how he tried to fall in love again after being cheated in love. But it seems that the makers, who have made sure that the comedy and one-liners that the audience expects from Tillu, do not go down, but they have not taken much care in terms of the story and the twists in the film. The interval twist is impressively written but the comedy movie which was till then goes into serious mode. However, the twists that come in the second half feel contrived. But the way this Tillu Square movie is connected with the first part is interesting. It seems that Siddu Jonnalagadda's romance scenes with Anupama at the beginning of the movie may alienate the family audience.
Actors Performance:
Sidhu Jonnalagadda is definitely remembered as DJ Tillu, so he is set for that character. Sidhu's role in this movie is interesting throughout. Sidhu has done this role with great ease. And Anupama Parameswaran as Lily is a surprising package. Before, everyone thought she was a glamor doll when she was doing this role, but after watching the movie, her character definitely changed their opinion. It can be said that Anupama is the perfect choice for this role. The twists and turns based on her character are impressive.
In the movie, the two heroines along with Priyanka Jawalkar and Neha Shetty look impressive in one scene. Especially Radhika's entry was such that a range of responses was seen in the theatre. Especially, she was seen in such a scene that one would expect from Radhika. Muralidhar Goud, who played the role of Tillu's father, once again got a good role. He also has scope for good acting. The actor who plays Marcus is also impressive.
People like Murali Sharma and Prince appear in some scenes but not as characters with scope for acting. In terms of technical aspects, music is the main strength of the film. Along with the background score given by Bheems, the remix song given by Ram Miriyala is a great plus for the movie. The story seems to be okay, but if more care had been taken in the story, the result would have been different. The editor managed to make a crisp cut. The cinematographer has succeeded in showing the entire film in full color.
